Privacy

Own-key requests go directly from your Mac to OpenAI or Anthropic. Your API key is stored in the local Mac Keychain without iCloud synchronization.

Subscription text passes through our Convex backend to OpenAI and is processed in memory. Textune does not keep text history or content logs. OpenAI requests use store:false; the provider's own retention policies still apply.

With your permission, this website uses Google Analytics cookies to measure visits and website usage. Analytics is not loaded before you accept. You can decline or withdraw permission through Cookie settings in the footer. Google processes analytics data under its own policies. We do not send your account identity, email, API keys or editing text in analytics events. The Mac app separately offers optional Google Analytics in Settings, on by default and available to turn off anytime. It measures app activity and technical app/device data without attaching editing text, instructions, API keys or account identity. Turning it off stops collection and resets local analytics data; events already sent remain subject to Google retention settings.

Google Privacy Policy

If the Mac app crashes, it sends Sentry, in its EU data region, a report with the code location of the crash, the app version and the macOS version. Reports never include your text, API keys or account. You can turn them off in Settings → Privacy.

Firebase Authentication manages sign-in. Convex stores account, license, device activation, subscription and usage metadata. Stripe handles payment details and financial records. The Account window in the Mac app lets you view your licensed Mac, manage billing and request account deletion after fresh authentication.
